In this body of work, wedding photographs of my ancestors undergo two interventions. First, through digital editing, I replace the brides' faces with my own. Then, working directly on the photographic prints, I manually cut out the figure of each groom.

Through this two intervention, the series shifts the narrative embedded in these images and challenges the traditional idea of marriage. By inserting my own face and removing the grooms, I seek to create space for imagining other forms of intimacy and memory.

In this context, the absence of the male figure is presented not as a lack, but as a refusal. It is through this absence that the possibility of rewriting the family archive emerges
